Print Catalog Redesign
Art.Com, Emeryville, CA In 2008, I was contracted by Binger Catalog Marketing, in San Francisco to do a minor redesign of Art.Com’s printed catalog. The client asked to have the design refreshed as they felt it had become “tired” and hoped to spark new interest in order to expand their customer base. Following the already established brand standards – typefaces, logo and layout grid, I redesigned the look of the cover, back cover, opening spreads, special feature copy blocks and “bugs” (Buy Two & Save, etc...), as well as the page headers and footers. Shown on these pages are the templates I designed that were to be produced by Binger’s production team. As it turned out, Art.Com only had time to implement a few of the new changes before succumbing to the pressures of the recession – they no longer produce a printed catalog.
